Seoul Food Days

Letztens ging es in den Stadtteil der Uni Hongik. Zum kreativ sein, zeichnen, und einfach mal was anderes als unsere 3 Cafès um die Ecke sehen.
The other day we went to a part of town called Hongdae, it's around the Hongik University. We just wanted to hang out at some cafè thats outside of our little area.

Erster Halt: Cafe Sand Park.

First stop: Cafe Sand Park.

Eigentlich haben wir uns nur unterirdisch verlaufen und sind am falschen Metro-Ausgang raus. Das wir genau davor gelandet sind war reiner Zufall, aber ein Glücksfall für mich.
Der Tee war super! Und das erste koreanische Salami-Sandwich auch! Irgendwie muss man sich ja bei Laune halten bei dieser Quälerei...
We got lost on the way out of the Metro and ended up taking the wrong one. But the one we came out was exactly across Cafe Sand Park, so I guess we were lucky anyways.
The tea was delicious! And I had my first korean salami-sandwich! SO GOOD! Trying to keep my good mood with good food.

Hatte gar nicht so ein liebevoll zubereitetes Essen erwartet, sooo lecker. Endlich mal keine Mayo, Joghurt-Dip. (Koreaner stehen total auf Mayo, ganz schlecht für mich...)

Didn't think it would turn out THAT good. No mayo! Yoghurt dip. (don't understand why Koreans love mayo...)

Dann ging es weiter, Beine vertreten und mal sehen was Hongik sonst noch so zu bieten hat ausser shopping.

We left and walked a little around Hongdea to see what else they have to offer, besides shopping.

Gelandet sind wir natürlich im Hara Donuts. Hab gelesen, dass die ihre Donuts aus Soja und Tofu-Brei machen. Kein wunder schlecken die ganz anders als die üblichen Dinger von Dunkin Donuts oder Krispy Kreme. Nämlich um Lichtjahre besser, die sind nicht so durchfrittiert. 

We ended up spending the afternoon at Hara Donuts. I read that they make them with soy milk and tofu pulp, no wonder they taste way different than Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Way BETTER! Not so terribly greasy.

Und weil wir den Tag ja ordentlich ausklingen lassen mussten haben wir uns abends in eine koreanische Kneipe gesetzt und lecker Chon (Koreanische Pizza) gegessen und Makkolli getrunken :) 

To end the day we decided to have Chon (Korean Pizza) and Makkolli for dinner at some Korean drinking place.

Ein Getränk aus Metall-pötten trinken macht doppelt spaß.

Drinking out of a metal pan is way more fun than a glass.

 Kimchi-Chon.

Am Tag danach gings gleich nochmal los, aber erst am Nachmittag. Wir haben uns mit Stephanie getroffen und sind durch den Stadtteil der Ewa Womens University gezogen. 
The next day we had a little adventure again, this time at Ewa Womens University. Together with Stephanie we went shopping and had some fun.

Man nehme: 1 geschälte Orange, etwas crushed ice, Mixer.

Take: 1 peeled orange, crushed ice, blender.

Dieser Glaube, dass Tomaten Obst sind... 

Koreans think tomatoes are fruit...

Dann hab ich mir ein Paar neue Schuhe gekauft. (nicht)

Nach so viel Shopping Anstrengung mussten wir erstmal wieder was essen. 

After all this shopping we had to have some more food.

Ich dachte ja Sabrina erzählt mir Quatsch, aber es gibt ihn wirklich! Den Eier-Trenner!

I did not believe Sabrina when she told me about this, but it's true! Egg Separator!

Die Frauen-Uni bei Nacht. Schade, dass es einfach ohne Tripod und Spiegelreflex nichts so richtig wird.
