Lost in Seoul

In the back in gold you can see Sejong, the King who ruled when the Hangul (Korean Letters) were introduced. The mountains behind him are the ones we went hiking to yesterday.

This little temple next to the high rise office is somewhat bizarre. Koreans have mixed use high rise buildings, which is not allowed in Germany. They call them Office-Tel. You can plan offices AND residential in one building. Isn't it cool? So much more flexible than the German system. Though I don't know how to make an office with one bathroom for 50 ppl into apartments with separate bathrooms, kitchen which needs water supply as well, etc. Very curious. (I do realize that most likely nobody who reads this blog is interested in this kind of information...)

Those strawberries were 5.000 won. That's pretty much $5. BUT they were the best strawberries I ate since I moved out of my parents house (they buy strawberries that come from fields around where we live and which are picked the same day you buy them). And those tomatoes were actually ripe, which doesn't happen that often in Germany. And bananas are not green when sold, they are either yellow or sometimes they have some brown spots and you get them cheaper. And the cucumber! It TASTS like a cucumber. It even smells like one when you cut it! Crazy right?! Smelling a cucumber! I don't want to complain about the really cheap grocery store close to my house in Germany and I don't want to complain about the expensive one close to my house. BUT how can it be Korean fruit and veggies have almost Bulgarian quality?! Or rather, why do Germans have to eat de-flavoured, unripe,  greenhouse grown, never-saw-sunlight-never-saw-soil vegetables and fruit?! Good thing I don't know anything about the pesticides these strawberries did or did not see!

This is the view from the starbucks to one part of the University. It's the main entrance I think. In the back to the right there is a really steep hill I have to hike up every morning to get to the Korean class.

New in town: Chanel Flagship Store.
Brand new Chanel flagship store. I can't afford anything (not yet) but the interior looked pretty amazing. Maybe I'll get all dressed up and pretend to be someone just so I can sneak past the doorman to check out the cool stuff. It is all silver metallic and maybe a bit space ship styled. Futuristic. I need to see it!

Koreanische "Kneipen" --> Fleisch essen und Trinken.
Korean Bars/Drinking places. All you do is eat tons of meat and drink. And talk

Found the metro in the End. The way down is full of plastic surgery advertisement!

The End.
